Contact us with your original order

Email your original order number or IGI report number. We look up your purchase in under 24 hours and confirm the full credit value.

Choose your new center stone

Pick any stone of at least 2x the value of your original, in any shape, any setting. We arrange complimentary insured shipping both ways.

We credit your original purchase in full

The full amount you paid for your original center stone is applied directly to your new purchase. You pay only the difference.

Your new ring ships in 2, 5 weeks

Made-to-order, IGI certified, with paper report and fresh lifetime warranty. Your original stone returns to our inventory.

Why we built this program

Most jewelers treat an engagement ring purchase as a single transaction. We believe it\u2019s the start of a relationship that can span 40 or 50 years.

An upgrade at a tenth anniversary, a twenty-fifth, a child\u2019s wedding, is a natural part of how a piece evolves. The Lifetime Upgrade Program exists so that decision is simple: no financial penalty, no paperwork friction, no pressure.

Your original investment is not depreciated, and it is not "lost." It travels with you, exactly what you paid, applied directly to the next chapter.

What qualifies for the upgrade program?

Any IGI-certified center stone purchased from Diavlia qualifies. The piece must be in its original setting and in good condition. Accent stones (halos, side stones) are not part of the trade-in, only the center stone.

Do I have to upgrade to at least 2x the original value?

Yes. The minimum is 2x the original stone value. This covers our resale and re-grading costs so we can continue offering the program at zero net cost to you.

Can I upgrade the setting too?

Absolutely. You can keep the original setting, redesign it, or move to a completely new setting. The upgrade is stone-centered but the full ring is customizable at the same time.

What happens to my original stone?

It returns to Diavlia’s inventory, is inspected and re-certified by IGI, and becomes available for another customer at a standard retail price. Lab-grown diamonds hold full identification through their laser inscription and report number, so every upgrade stays fully traceable.

Is there a fee?

No fee for the program itself. You pay only the price difference between your old stone and the new one, plus any setting changes if applicable. Shipping both ways is complimentary and insured.

Do you match competitors on upgrade programs?

Yes. If Brilliant Earth or Blue Nile or another reputable competitor offers a more favorable upgrade structure on a stone you purchased from us, contact our team, we will match it within one business day.

Can I upgrade more than once?

Yes. Some customers upgrade multiple times over decades. Each upgrade credits the most recent stone’s full purchase price toward the next.

What if the piece was a gift and I don’t have the order number?

Email the IGI report number shown on the paper certificate that came with the ring, or the laser-inscribed report number on the stone’s girdle. We can look up the order with either.
